Campbell Newman Asset Management was founded in 1977 and has long been known as a high-quality growth stock manager. The group currently making up the firm’s management and investment staff has been in place since 2003 and this is the group that is responsible for the performance record since that time. The Campbell Newman name has been retained in honor of company founder, Leonard Campbell, Jr.

Campbell Newman provides separate account equity portfolio management services to a variety of taxable and tax-exempt clients, including Taft-Hartley funds, public funds, pensions, foundations and individuals. We offer a focused product line of two equity products: Large Cap Dividend Growth and Large Cap Growth. Both products utilize the same investment philosophy and bottom-up driven research process. The products are differentiated by the screening criteria used to define each strategy’s research universe, the indices to which their investment performance is benchmarked and the characteristics of the portfolios.

Large Cap Dividend Growth: The objective of the Dividend Growth strategy is to provide superior investment performance within the confines of a conservative risk profile. To accomplish this goal, the strategy focuses on companies with a history of annual dividend increases and higher than average current yields for we believe these attributes are important signals of management’s confidence in future earnings growth. Benchmarked against the S&P 500 Index, stocks are selected on a bottom-up basis by a team of three portfolio managers/analysts and portfolios are run on a concentrated basis with between 25 and 35 stocks.

Large Cap Growth: The objective the Large Cap Growth strategy is to provide superior long-term investment returns through the ownership of a portfolio of established, high-quality growth stocks that possess exceptional financial and fundamental characteristics. Benchmarked against the Russell 1000 Growth Index, stocks are selected on a bottom-up basis by a team of three portfolio managers/analysts and portfolios are run on a concentrated basis with between 35 and 45 stocks.

Additionally, fixed-income portfolio management is provided to a select group of clients through the use of subadvisors.

The company is organized as a Subchapter S corporation and registered as an investment advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission. We are 100% employee owned.
